Elon Musk Plans To Build His Own Airport Outside Austin

Storyline reported citing Austonia that Musk is developing plans for a new private airport.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, may get to build his own airport outside of Austin.

Although little is known about the timing or even the exact location, our sources have confirmed the conceptual plans.

Near Bastrop, Texas, the airport will be located east of Austin.

Three of Musk’s companies have a presence in Austin. Tesla relocated its global headquarters to Austin, and so did The Boring Company.

Although it is unknown how much space the CEO would require for a private airport, the Austin Executive Airport has over 130,000 square feet of hangar space and a 6,025-foot runway.

According to the report, building an airport won’t happen overnight. Both the EPA and FAA must approve the project.

Tesla reported $16.9 billion in revenue for the second quarter, down from $18.8 billion in the first quarter.

Its second-quarter profit was $2.3 billion, down from $3.3 billion in the first quarter.
