Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, and wife of the late singer Michael Jackson passed away at 54. She was rushed to a California hospital’s intensive care unit after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Priscilla Presley, her mother, said, “With a heavy heart, I share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has passed away.” As the family tries to deal with this profound loss, she requested everyone respect their privacy as she said, She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.
A statement from Pricilla Presley’s publicist confirmed Lisa Marie Presley’s death as well. Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie, the statement stated. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this extremely difficult time.
Lisa Marie Presley and her mother attended the Golden Globe awards on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, where Austin Butler won Best Actor in a Drama for his role as Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s film.
