A Human Error Or A Technical Glitch?
According to a state media report, an adult film started playing on the TV screens at Bihar’s Patna railway station around 9:30 AM on Sunday.
People at the station were baffled when the adult film started playing instead of advertisements on the station’s TV screens, so they complained to the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Several blurry clips of the incident have gone viral on Twitter. The clip reportedly played for three minutes.
In response to the GRP’s delay, the RPF contacted Dutta Communication, the agency that runs advertisements on the screens, and requested that they stop playing the p0rn clip in front of people, including children.
Indian Railways Sprung Into Action
An FIR was filed against Dutta Communication and also the agency was blacklisted by the Indian Railways. A fine was also imposed on the agency.
Sources cited by the media indicate that railway officials have also terminated the contract that entrusted the agency with running ads on the station’s TV screens. It is also unclear why the Obscene Video was played on platform 10.

Last year, a technical glitch caused the SMD display board on the Worli-bound road in Mumbai to display a message saying Smoke weed every day.
The message was seen by bikers and drivers on the road to Worli and they shared photos of it immediately, which went viral on social media, according to a media report. The SMD board was located close to the junction starting from Haji Ali dargah towards the city bakery/Worli Naka junction.
