It has been revealed to Storyline by a special assistant that, approximately 100,000 laptops will be distributed to talented students.

A Federal Government official has claimed that laptop programs will resume. As a result of the Prime Minister’s orders, this laptop program is now being implemented again. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the special assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for youth affairs, confirmed this news.

During a press briefing attended by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mariyam Aurangzeb, SAPM made this announcement.

According to our correspondence at Storyline, approximately 100,000 laptops will be distributed to talented students. However, the Baluchistan quota will be doubled.

The prime minister’s youth program (PMYP) will administer the resumed laptop scheme.

A skills development program is also being launched as part of a laptop scheme. This new initiative will allow about 100,000 students to train in IT under the program.

In October, the chairman of the higher education commission (HEC), Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, gave a clue about the renewal of this laptop scheme.

Additionally, he also launched a statement focusing on the introduction of online courses for the betterment of university students, in collaboration with Microsoft and international firms. All of this will be officially introduced by HEC.
