With the new update, (version 2.23.2.11) you will be able to upload HD Images and share it on social media.

You Will Soon Be Able To Upload Full-Quality Images To WhatsApp

Currently, WhatsApp doesn’t allow uploads of HD quality, but this will soon change with an update as the feature already appears in WhatsApp’s latest beta release.

Currently, you have the option of selecting “data saver”, “automatic”, or “best quality” when uploading images but the best quality option does not allow you to share images in HD quality.

A recent WhatsApp beta update (version 2.23.2.11) brings full-quality image uploads. As always, WABetaInfo spotted the feature.

In the screenshot below, you can see how the feature works, at least in the beta version. That being said, some changes may be made before it appears in the stable version.

Whenever you select an image from your gallery a new cogwheel will appear at the top, allowing you to choose between different photo quality options including original images.

With all those megapixels you can finally show off your photography skills or silly pet photos.

If you have mobile internet constraints uploading images in their original quality will also use more internet bandwidth so you should only use this option on Wi-Fi connections.

WhatsApp should also add the option to upload original-quality content over Wi-Fi or mobile.

As the feature is still under development it is unclear when it will be available to all users.
